Inspiration
Our inspiration behind the project is that we, as a team, love going outdoors and visiting cool art public art pieces. We thought it would be a cool project idea to allow people to make a collection of art pieces and keep them in a digital portfolio.
How we built it
We first built the web pages, worked on login, and created account functionalities. Then, the Socrata API was used to collect public art data from Cambridge.
Challenges we ran into
We had big ideas for this project but ended up realizing that there wouldn't be enough time to implement all of our ideas onto this app and make a fully functioning app. However, this would be cool to work on later on to complete it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating the base of the webpages because the design is nice and clean.
What we learned
We learned some PHP and database stuff which was cool to work with. Some of us also learned HTML/CSS for the first time.
What's next for smArt
We want to continue working on it to make it a fully functional app and maybe it can be usable by people in the future!
