Inspiration
I like to do IOT projects that make my environment more comfortable and healthy.
What it does
This humidifier maintains the humidity you set in the room. It can also turn on and off at the time you specify. It’s controlled by my Android app.
How we built it
First I developed an application in Android Studio. Using components that I already had, I built an electric layout. After that, I bought a food container where I poured water for the humidifier. Then I wrote the code for ESP8266 on the Arduino IDE.
Challenges we ran into
The fog generator had to be kept at a certain depth at all times. To do this, I used a piece of polystyrene, in which I made a hole for a plastic glass. I put a fog generator in this glass.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud to have made a device that will help me in my daily life. It is convenient to control the device with my app and it works automatically.
What we learned
I have improved my skills in designing Android apps, creating circuits and managing the ESP8266 board from a smartphone.
What's next for Smart Humidifier ESP8266
I want to turn off the humidifier on a timer, make the humidifier work more reliable, remove some bugs and improve the application design.
