Inspiration
In a world where the rate of deforestation in this world is much larger than the rate at which forestation is taking place which also makes it difficult for animals to live in their natural habitat and on top of that some poachers and hunters make their lives more miserable. Our goal is to create a safer and healthy environment for our wild animals and to contribute towards making this world a better place.
What it does
We fetch live audio from the forests and extract relevant features which are further passed through a neural network which helps us to predict the illegal activities happening in that area.
How we built it
We used a dataset of various audio that can be found in a forest and also those audios which can point towards the illegal activities that can happen in a forest and trained our machine learning model which would predict future illegal activities just by analysing audio and inform the forest authority about the same.
Challenges we ran into
Collecting dataset which lead to lower accuracy due to limited time and resources
What we learned
We learned how important the natural habitat is for our and animal's survival and how new technologies can be used to help us solve our problems
