What is does

What it does, step by step:

Mess staff uploads leftover food — they log surplus food details like quantity, type, pickup location, and how long it's available. Students/NGOs browse and request food — they see available listings on the platform and place a request. A volunteer gets assigned — the system assigns a nearby volunteer to pick up and deliver the food. Volunteer delivers it — they pick up from the campus kitchen and deliver to the student or NGO location. System records everything — every transaction is logged with timestamps and status updates. Admin sees the impact — a dashboard shows how many meals were saved, how much waste was reduced, and weekly/monthly trends.

In short, it does 4 core things:

What it does1Tracks surplus food listings from campus kitchens2Connects food sources with students and NGOs3Coordinates volunteer-led pickup and delivery4Measures real impact through analytics
