Inspiration

During the last trip i forgot my diary in which i was mainting my expenses, so i started writing them in notepad but it took time and it was no more organised. So i thought of building this

What it does:

It helps you in the following ways:--

1. It helps you track expenses. 2. It maintains your daily record of expenses safely. 3. We doesn't have acces to your data only the user has so it is completely secure. 4. It has more good features and a beautiful structure.

Pros of the projects are:-

** Clean structure. The vertical sorting toggle buttons (Date ▲, Date ▼, etc.) offer quick, intentional control over data visualization. Also there is an inbuilt today option for date.** ** "Quick Actions" panel. Including instant Reset Mock Data and Export JSON utilities directly addresses core developer sandbox needs.** ** Universal and localized currency handling via standard Amount (USD).**

How we built it

I made the base python file and then pushed it into a repo., then I used Github Copilot to convert the python file into a beautiful looking website.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into a challenge in converting my plain python file into a working website but then i managed it using github copilot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of my accomplishment of creating it and pushing it into a repo.

What we learned

I learned to use Github Copilot.

What's next for Smart Expense Tracker

Next I am planning to fix some of the issues of it like: The dashboard relies entirely on raw numerical readouts (Total Spent, Budget Left). Without interactive canvas charts or colored warning states (e.g., changing to red when the budget is near $0.00), it forces high cognitive load on users trying to spot quick spending trends. So i will add editable budget feature . High user-error surface area. Free-text inputs for "Category" and "Date" slow down friction-less data logging. Make it faster.
