Smart Car Automation with Alexa and particle photon

Inspiration

Internet of Things have been a revolution and smart home has been a major component in it. And everyone is even more interested in Smart Home Voice Assistant which is clearly evident in the success of Echo and the advent of Google Home. So I would like to levarage these two game-changing technologies to automate a car. I plan to use Amazon Echo (Dot preferebly) in the car.

The uses of having them in the car are:

1. to set your temperature to your desired level while at home during winter
2. know your fuel/charging status
3. play your favourite song
4. Connect your phone and make calls, texts and many other things.

What it does

It takes user inputs and can turn on lights, control temparature and turn on buzzer all voice controlled using Amazon Echo with the help of Photon.

How I built it

Used Echo as voice controlled input and interfaced all the end user components to particle photon.

Challenges I ran into

First time user on Alexa, Node js and working on particle photon board.
