Inspiration
Farmers often face problems such as water wastage, unpredictable weather conditions, and difficulty monitoring crops regularly. Our project was inspired by the idea of using smart technology to help farmers improve productivity
What it does
The Smart Agriculture Monitoring System monitors soil moisture, temperature, and humidity using sensors. The collected data is displayed through an IoT-based platform, helping farmers make better decisions about irrigation and crop management.
How we built it
We used Arduino/ESP8266 with soil moisture and temperature sensors to collect real-time data. The system sends data through Wi-Fi to a cloud platform where users can monitor the farm conditions easily.
Challenges we ran into
We faced difficulties in sensor calibration, maintaining stable internet connectivity, and accurate data collection in different environmental conditions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
In the future, we plan to add AI-based crop prediction, automatic irrigation control, and mobile app support for farmers.
