Inspiration

Have you ever visited a supermarket hoping an item is on offer only to get you were late? Well, most of the time we visit the supermarket something is always on offer but what if we had a system that lets us know what is on offer, where and when.

What it does

A google chrome extension that sends alerts users whenever the supermarkets add offers to their items hence helping the users keep track of their preferred products. The google chrome extension indicates to users the location of the supermarket instances that are around them.

How we built it

The project is highly dependent on the database and uses PHP to connect and display data from database. JavaScript was used for the pop-up of the extension and maneuvering from the pop-up window to the chrome tab window for login and sign-up purposes whose page design were supported by html and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

less reference material,
The system could not display the direction of the supermarket when the location is clicked

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The system can allow the users to view all the offers daily.
The admin can receive live reports on the activity of the supermarkets.
The system can allow the users to view all the offers regardless of the day posted.
