Inspiration

Social Media makes it easy to stay connected with our community, but it enables being social in a more and more isolated way. smalltalk makes it easy to find common interests with those sitting around you to start, well, small talk.

What it does

Small talk uses your Facebook profile and mesh networks to show you who is around you and what they are interested in. It is meant to facilitate human to human interaction and leverages data from an isolating platform to create a more interactive one.

How I built it

I built smalltalk using swift, and Facebook APIs

What I learned

I learned all about iOS development and key design patterns for building iPhone apps.

What's next for smalltalk

smalltalk will focus on incorporating dynamic Facebook data, and letting users choose how they display their profile. It will also focus on enabling in person interactions quicker.
