Inspiration

We wanted to create an environment to make accessing insurance for small business owners easier due to the stress of being a small business owner and the overwhelming complexity of insurance.

What it does

Small Insure is an application that simplifies the process of figuring out the best insurance for you as well as the process of utilizing your insurance, making claims, and changing insurance policies simpler.

How we built it

We utilized Flutter in order to create a front end that showed our intention to streamline the process of selecting insurance, finding out what you are being covered for, and making claims easily with minimal effort.

Challenges we ran into

Many challenges we ran into came down due to inexperience and speed in code. We were unable to fully accomplish all that we set out to do due to a lack of time and efficiency in our work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our concept for the application as well as the usefulness it would have to small business owners who do not have the time to manage and trudge through the complexities of insurance.

What we learned

On the aspect of coding, we learned a lot about front-end development as well as design and user-friendliness in UI design. On the point outside of coding we learned how to work on projects with others easier and learned more about insurance and the needs of small businesses as we researched the prompt and what goes into insurance for small businesses.

What's next for Small Insure

Try to better improve the experience for small businesses with their insurance company so State Farm reaches out a helping hand to small businesses everywhere.
