Inspiration

I have always been fascinated by the hidden world of insects and was deeply inspired by their innate resilience and complex societies. I wanted to create a motivational piece as a powerful metaphor for human adaptation, creativity, and the pursuit of our dreams.

What it does

"Small World" explores the profound connection between nature, humanity, and the subconscious. Through a three-act structure, it traces the journey of insects from their natural habitat to our human spaces and finally into our dreams, delivering a powerful message about growth, perspective, and the potential that lies within all of us.

How we built it

The entire project was created using artificial intelligence tools, including image,video and audio generation platforms and models such as nanobanana, grok, and Elevenlabs as well as video edition tools like capcut.

Challenges we ran into

Achieving visual consistency across the three distinct worlds—natural, urban, and surreal—was a significant hurdle. We also faced the creative challenge of visually representing abstract concepts like dreams and metaphors. Ensuring the AI-generated insects moved and behaved in a believable, natural way, especially in the surreal sequences, required meticulous prompt engineering and iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of creating a film that is both visually atractive and emotionally resonant. We successfully translated a philosophical concept into a concise, impactful narrative that connects with viewers on a personal level.

What we learned

I've substantially improved my knowledge and use of all the tools for creating content with artificial intelligence, but more importantly, I honed my ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, given the time constraints of free submission period. This pushed me to be even more proactive and be able to meet my goal on time.

What's next for Small World

I would be interested in taking advantage of the potential of tools like Grok or others to generate videos with highly realistic movements and make a series no longer focused on insects, but on animals or even human beings.
