Inspiration

I have notice that many small manufacturers in Tunisia, my home country are still using Excel or paper to track the quality of their production, so I noticed the value/impact that a small application that can digitize and track quality of work and production in a small setup can have while not requirinng them to pay too much to get it up and running

What it does

📊 Dashboard & Analytics Real-time production status monitoring Historical performance trends and metrics Production quality analysis with reject rate monitoring Visual performance indicators with color-coded alerts 👥 Shift and Teams Management Create and manage production shifts Assign workstations and supervisors to shifts Multi-user collaboration with role-based access (managers/operators) ⏱️ Event Tracking Record production events in real-time: Complete event history with timestamps and comments Automatic duration calculations for performance analysis 🏭 Production Data Management Track production by serial numbers Record good parts vs. rejected parts (machine/physical defects) Monitor cycle times for efficiency analysis Production history with filtering capabilities ✅Checklist Pre-production quality control checklist Track completion status (OK/NOT OK/Fixed) Add comments for non-conformities and corrections Ensure production readiness before shift start

How we built it

With a specification document collected from one of those manufacturers, I was able to build the app with vibe coding through bolt and I connected Supabase Database integration. While it is still a prototype, it has viable proof of concept and the client liked its functionality so far seeing its huge value

Challenges we ran into

User management and database integration wasn´t straight forward and I needed to highlight same errors several times to get through them

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It was built in around 2 months of vibe coding

What we learned

Bolt can actually build real applications if handled correctly and if we knoe minimum principles of Software Development

What's next for Small Manufacture Tracking System

Sell it to our first client and then roll it out to other similar sized manufacturing businesses that have similar qualitative norms
