Inspiration

Our sister company, High 5 Software provides service management software to small business with a solution that syncs to QuickBooks. Even though we work with 100's of small businesses, none of them are asking for support for EOS or other cryptocurrencies because they don't want to disrupt their current business processes and they can't get suppliers and employees to accept EOS.

While working on tipit in the Antelope and EOS space as a social wallet to drive adoption. We noticed that adoption of EOS is lacking because the solutions don't work with existing accounting solutions. So we decided to build it.

What it does

This system provides a platform for syncing EOS blockchain with QuickBooks in a flexible manner so that companies only need ONE sync solution that can have many applications work with web3. By providing a platform and solution, it only need to be integrated with the companies QB once and then select the applications and features they need. The system will track all company account activities from and to EOS.

How we built it

We built a flexible platform code named X that can work with EOS and web3 The system starts with a universal Single SignOn (SSO) oauth system that leverages Intuit QB Oauth and other login providers.
Everything is built modular so that customers can select the features and apps they need for their business.

Challenges we ran into

EOS adoption did not meet our expectations through tipit and we believe it's because small businesses are not being serviced. Even a simple Hot Dog cart would have difficulty accepting EOS since they would need to buy supplies using EOS without having to convert to fiat.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

tipit pay is running and supporting credit cards, ach and EOS. The system is very flexible to add additional payment providers. For example, paypal support was added within just a couple hours.

What we learned

We have learned QuickBooks sync, working with small businesses, and lack of interest or knowledge of EOS through the last 17 years with our sister company High 5 Software. We have also connected with amazing people and projects through our tipit system.
