Inspiration
I wanted to build an exciting factoid experience for users that can offer something for everyone who wishes to expand their knowledge on snakes. Through a trivia experience, I sought to build an application that allows users to learn more about snake facts and trivia across the globe. With that goal in mind, I set out to educate users, offering them an intellectually fulfilling experience that will allow them to reflect on new insights and facts.
What it does
Snakes are among the most extraordinary animals on the planet, and have managed to do so much even without limbs. This skill will help the mind explore and ponder with everything there is to know about snakes, their behavior, and amazing adaptations. You might even hear some interesting stories along the way. Prepare to delve deep into the world of snakes. What you find may surprise you! To get started, just say you want a snake fact. The facts keep on rolling in after that.
How we built it
The core frameworks used by the application were those associated with Amazon Alexa, with support from AWS services like Lambda to store all the information pertaining to different factoids. The trivia components of the application were rendered within the Alexa framework using JavaScript elements.
