Inspiration
We decided it would be best to make a proyect in an area we had experience in, but we could not figure out which. We entered a period of tremendous workload and decided to postpone our brainstorm for the Hackaton. We later realized that our idea was right there: burnout. It is something common to see in teachers and students, and if we could find something that could genuienly help us, we coul impact the lives of many other people as well.
What it does
Given a proyect or homework, it creates a plan on how you could manage your time better depending on the person's preferences and the task's difficulty to prevent crunching and last minute stress. The plan is generated using a means-ends analysis.
How we built it
Since our school uses Canvas to assign projects and homework, we connected it to the app to obtain directly the incoming due dates, to provide a better User Experience. As for the UI, it was made using Tailwind CSS for expo and some of the components were hand-drawn.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the features we planned on using were depricated recently which slowed down our development process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having a final result after 24 hours, since most of us didn't have experience in mobile development.
What we learned
Building an app on scratch, integrating diverse APIs.
What's next for EUNOIA
Continue exploring the ideas that we enjoyed from the hackathon to come up with an improved solution, because it's a solution that is valuable to us all beyond the hackathon.
