Inspiration
To fix my bedtime so I can get to school on time
What it does
Sleepy Joe is a personalized sleep assistant designed to make bedtime an exciting part of your day. It has a range of features aimed at improving sleep quality for high schoolers and anyone looking for a better night's rest. From bedtime stories to engaging conversations, relaxing music, and a clear display of its actions, Sleepy Joe is designed to create a calming environment for a more restful sleep.
How I built it
On the frontend I used vanilla JS, HTML and CSS. On the backend I had openAI api to create stories and Flask.
Challenges I ran into
This was my first time writing my own frontend, so I had to learn JS from scratch. Luckily the syntax is really similar to other languages I know so that worked out nicely.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The frontend took hours to debug, but I somehow got through it.
What I learned
Learned a lot about frontend + how different components work together.
What's next for temp project.
I wanted to give Sleepy Joe the voice of a certain somebody, but unfortunately debugging took toooooo long to work on that.
