Inspiration

Sleep deprivation is a major and impacts young adults more than ever. As sleep-deprived college students, we can deeply relate to this issue and wanted to come up with a measure to assess our sleep quality.

What it does

Our application assesses users on their sleep quality using a variety of parameters. First, it asks them to answer basic questions about themselves or just their name and age. Afterwards, it prompts them to answer a list of questions from a questionnaire. Using their responses, the application will give the user a sleep quality score and suggest some recommendations to help improve their sleep quality.

How we built it

We used Flutter to build the application. It is web-compatible.

Challenges we ran into

Our code kept crashing various times when trying to run the application. This happened especially when we were trying to format our application with text and user input, such as with sliders and drop-down boxes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that our application was able to run smoothly after a series of trials and errors. It was able to provide a valid output to the user based on their input.

What we learned

From our experience, we learned that we should be more prepared next time, such as coming up with ideas earlier to give us more time to work on developing the application. Additionally, having prior knowledge of the topics or at least knowing how to implement them at a basic level could have significantly helped us.

What's next for SleepQuest. How’s your sleep?

We hope that users can access our application and utilize it for their needs.
