Inspiration

I am a high school student that suffers from insomnia and sometimes I average less than 30 hours of sleep a week due to school and extracurricular, which is why I wanted to help other students by using a tracker to help them get the recommended hours of sleep.

What it does

This app tracks the hours of sleep one gets per night and accumulates the number of days a student has a certain quality of sleep over a duration of time. It provides suggestions as well on how to maintain and improve your sleep quality and quantity.

How we built it

I built this app in Java.

Challenges we ran into

There were some layout problems that didn't work properly and as I don't have any teammates I had to do all the work and I wasn't quite confident with what I was building until I settled down.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm happy that this is something small that I built and that I can always make improvements later on with more time and expertise.

What we learned

I have made myself more familiar with the JFrame and other components in JAVA.

What's next for Sleep Tracker

I think I want to make the tracker page more personalized to the student, but I didn't have the time to do so.
