Inspiration
My inspiration in creating an app that tells you your sleeping trends and motivates you to improve your sleeping habitats comes from my friends and I having terrible sleeping schedules during midterm weeks. An app that does this could help us fix our sleep schedule to have a more productive lifestyle.
What it does
This app tracks the amount of sleep you have had this week and compares it to the average amount of sleep a person should have per day.
How we built it
I built it with SwiftUI for its frontend and it is designed to have a Node js backend for its database.
Challenges we ran into
I have coded a RESTFUL API in node js in the previous year Hackathon, but this year, it was somehow different, so I had to research a little bit on how to fix some of these issues.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of overcoming the challenges presented in the previous question. Additionally, I am satisfied with implementing some kind of data analysis into this app.
What we learned
I have learned to create a graph, specifically a line graph, in SwiftUI. This would be beneficial in the future if I were to go deeper in data analysis for certain datasets.
What's next for Sleep Tracker and Motivator
The next step for Sleep Tracker and Motivator would be creating an AI that returns some message and connecting the database into a cloud platform such as Heroku.
