Inspiration
We were just blurting out random ideas and this project was born.
What it does
Slaylist is a Chrome extension that takes any webpage, finds the most common words on that page (ignoring articles, I, of, etc.), and curates a Spotify playlist by taking the first song result when searching with those set of most common words.
How we built it
We used javascript, react, Spotify's API, HTML, and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
We had to stop working for a good chunk of time, so we weren't able to fully finish programming its functionality
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our idea and all the skills we learned in such a short amount of time.
What we learned
We learned about privacy, authentication, using APIs, and how to create a Chrome extension.
What's next for Slaylist
We are going to finish implementing our functionality. Not sure just yet, we just made it for fun.
