Inspiration
Initially called as "Defeat DEPRESSION" is an idea I had 8 years ago when I was battling against it and a ray of sunshine ignited inside of me. So I documented what I wanted to play and store it til now.
What it does
It aids in turning the bad emotions and thoughts into a more benefical thing for yourself.
How we built it
Lots of research and agentic engineering to meet the deadline.
Challenges we ran into
Combat system: One feature blocked the path for another feature, it was...messy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Reaching something playable and kind of meaningful, several people in my environment liked it.
What we learned
Doing games is hardcore, too much systems in top of each other trying to live in harmony.
What's next for Slay Your Demons
UI enhancements, bugfixing and reaching the people in need of it.
