Inspiration

After doing chores we didn't really feel like we making any progress. So we took inspiration from games and anime where the character levels up from doing tasks.

What it does

Slay The Task is a to-do list, except that when you complete your tasks, you level up in an in-game character. We've built Slay The Task to also include an in-game arena, where you can battle monsters and make the experience seem all the more fulfilling.

How we built it

We've built Slay The Task with Java.

Challenges we ran into

We were not able to get the GUI fully implemented so had to drop the idea, and instead just show the GUI with Figma.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to work together in a group, with coordination. We coded for a very long time and didn't get demotivated to complete our project.

What we learned

We've learned how to structure a project, how to work together as a team.

What's next for Slay the Task

Adding the GUI, and dungeon exploration.
