Inspiration

The fallout from the 2021 HSE cyberattack brought the countries healthcare system to it's knees. We are standardizing out digital health for 2030 but we still hae the fallout of the attack hindering progress. This MCP helps speed things along.

What it does

Takes images as input and outputs data using the FHIR standard.

How we built it

Used fastmcp, pydantic, google-cloud-documentai, google-cloud-aiplatform, uvicorn starlette inside a docker container and sne to GOogle run.

Challenges we ran into

The free gemini tier on prompt opinion allowed for limited testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

After a few tests it has amazingly low hallucination rates.

What we learned

A solid MCP can be used by many agents, really blew my mind.

What's next for Sláinte-Scan - The MCP for the Irish Healthcare System

Ideally adoption of some real life clinical data. Some tests and refinements, hoping to get funded to scale and implement.
