Inspiration

We were inspired by problems in our new careers with getting quick answers to our questions.

What it does

Our bot firsts creates a map of user knowledge with the help of a question system. Once it has learned about the people's abilities it connects novices with experts. It does all of this, while using an "almost" completely natural language system.

How we built it

We connected Microsoft's bot-framework with Microsoft's bot-connector and a Language Understanding Intelligent Service(LUIS). We then connected the bot through #Slack.

Challenges we ran into

Training (LUIS) wasn't as straightforward as we initially thought.The bot-framework is still in beta and publishing a free solution definitely has its quirks. Connecting conversations between users through the different API's wasn't easy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to link everything together in a really cool bot! Our bot uses and comprehends realistic language.

What we learned

How to bot-framework works, how slack works, how theses different api's are connected, how connecting enable us to have conversations with "states" between users and finally how to train LUIS.
