What it does

  • Multiple Slack teams works together in JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Realtime update information with Slack channel notification
  • Slack team can directly support internal or external customer via Slack tab in issue detail (next to great comment tab)
  • Styling your Slack message with message builder

How I built it

  • Interview customer and observer a lot of requests from marketplace.atlassian.com
  • Build a MVP integration and publish to marketplace
  • Be a great support team in the world with JIRA Service Desk
  • Have a great team who are ex Atlassian engineers

Challenges I ran into

  • How to let customer understand what product is by video and document guideline
  • Customer said where is your headquarter but we are just a small team, no company yet ;). This question was from Capital One Services LLC
  • Prove the addon is running with high workload (data center support) . This request was from Walmart
  • Security and leak information
  • Limit resources for both support and development
  • First bad rating on marketplace
  • Pricing

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

  • Got great feedbacks from Walmart. they are trailing us
  • Second to none support with DataVirtuality who helped us every beta release
  • 1000 USD net revenue at first month
  • 200+ companies are using the product
  • Landing many big companies such as : CISCO, NASA,TOYOTA, DataVirtuality ...
  • Help many open source teams with free fee

What I learned

  • Best product need to have best support team and product team
  • How to improve product rating if you got bad rating and uninstallation
  • How can you deal with feature request
