Inspiration
Inspired on statistical data collection and public traffic cameras that might be used for this purpose as well
What it does
It counts the car models passing through avenue and keep a record of them based on their respective models.
How we built it
Our prototype uses a Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi camera, Raspbian OS, OpenCV and YoLo pre-trained model.
Challenges we ran into
Several! YoLo V3 issues (segmentation fault), defective camera (had to get replaced), used VM to speedup the process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Raspberry Pi installation, Raspberry Pi camera configuration, YoLo v4 with tiny weights running good.
What we learned
A lot. Team work, mindmaps, timwezone management, skillset and work division. YoLo V4 and its integration with Raspberry Pi.
What's next for SkyNet
Work in city's council to get this project viable.
