Inspiration

The inspiration for the project was based of our idea for a weather forecast and then expanding on that idea further to make it become SkyMood.

What is does

Our website shows temperature, windspeed, cloud cover, and the time of day. Our group used Java for the backend and Javascript, HTML, and CSS with the use of a weather API to gain the data needed for the website.

Challenges

Some challenges we ran into were having to learn and use new languages that some of our group members were not familiar.

What we learned

We had to learn on the job also having to use some videos to further our understanding. ##Most Proud Of This also ties into what we are most proud of being that a lot of group members were expanding our comfort zones.

The Future

SkyMood possibilities is endless with furthering the of the UI and overall data provided by the website.

I programmed the UI in HTML, CSS, and JS. I also helped with some of the backend in Java, helping to identify bugs.

I worked on the backend of the program and helped make it accessible as a public website. I worked on connecting the frontend to the Java server, fixing errors, and setting up the deployment through GitHub and Render. This helped make the program accessible online so other people can use it without having to run it on their own computers.
