Leverage technology over manpower, data over repetition - for transport DGR that's more efficient, safter, and more reliable

What it does

Our platform digitizes the dangerous goods lifecycle by enabling XSDG-to-JSON conversion and JSON-LD synchronization with ONE Record. It streamlines the workflow from initial shipment creation and search to full data drill-downs, including direct integration with the IATA DG AutoCheck portal for real-time compliance results and an automated audit dashboard.

How we built it

To build this solution, we leveraged a modern full-stack architecture featuring Angular and TypeScript for the frontend, while utilizing Python and FastAPI to power a robust backend that integrates with the DG AutoCheck and ONE Record (1Neo Connect) APIs, alongside Gemini for advanced AI capabilities.

Challenges we ran into

We tackled steep learning curves for IATA DG Autocheck integration and JSON-LD mapping, ultimately pivoting to a backend proxy architecture to address cross-origin security limitations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of by running our solution + One Record integration for safer, data-driven dangerous goods transportation

What we learned

We bridged the gap between legacy paper-based DG declarations and modern digital standards, mastering the technical hurdles of IATA’s API while gaining a critical understanding of the safety regulations that govern global hazardous cargo.

What's next for Skyler: ONE Record, one check, full transparency

We are advocating for these DG attributes to be formalized in the core 1R ontology and integrating mobile scanning to verify physical label positioning in real-time and IOT sensors to automate physical packaging checks.
