Inspiration

Modern aircraft cabins are becoming smarter, but most systems are invisible to passengers. I wanted to design a system that visualizes how an intelligent cabin thinks, reacts, and adapts in real time, inspired by cockpit interfaces and avionics systems.

What it does

SkyCabin is a smart cabin simulation dashboard that:

Monitors light levels, motion, and lavatory usage Simulates real-time passenger activity Dynamically updates cabin lighting and system states Uses a predictive intelligence layer to anticipate cabin behavior Displays everything through a futuristic aviation-style interface

How we built it

Built entirely using MeDo.dev (no external hardware) Used real-time state updates and simulation logic for sensors Implemented dynamic UI behavior with JavaScript logic generated via MeDo Designed a cockpit-inspired interface using modern UI principles Added a predictive intelligence overlay to simulate AI-driven cabin decisions

Challenges we ran into

Designing realistic sensor logic without actual hardware Making the UI feel like a real aviation system instead of a basic dashboard Balancing complexity with usability for quick understanding Ensuring smooth real-time updates without UI lag

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a fully interactive aviation-style system using only MeDo Created a predictive intelligence layer that reacts to system states Designed a polished, cockpit-grade UI that feels like a real aircraft system Successfully simulated real-time cabin automation logic

What we learned

How to use MeDo to generate full-stack, interactive applications How to design systems that feel “alive” through real-time feedback The importance of UX clarity in technical dashboards How to simulate IoT behavior without physical devices

What's next for SkyCabin

SkyCabin aims to transition from a simulated system into a deployable aircraft cabin intelligence platform. The next step is integrating real sensor data and partnering with aviation stakeholders to bring predictive cabin automation into real aircraft environments.
