This project presents the development of an AI-powered tourist web portal designed to simplify and enhance the travel planning process by integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), Google Maps API, and real-time Weather API. The platform functions as an intelligent virtual travel assistant capable of generating personalised itineraries, offering context-aware destination insights, responding to user queries through an interactive AI chatbot, and providing weather-based travel recommendations to improve decision-making. The system specifically focuses on four culturally and geographically diverse Indian states— Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Assam—chosen for their rich tourism potential, unique landscapes, and distinct climatic conditions. By analysing user preferences and combining them with real-time weather and location data, the portal delivers travel plans that are both relevant and practical. Extensive testing of the platform demonstrates high user satisfaction, strong system reliability, and notable accuracy in AI-generated recommendations when compared to human-curated itineraries. The results indicate that the integration of Generative AI in tourism applications can significantly improve user convenience, efficiency, and overall travel experience
