The origin story of Cassandra Hex is part of a larger narrative about a future where the most valuable commodity in space is space itself.

Sky Walking was created almost exclusively using generative AI for both video and audio, incorporating minimal CGI and no live action or performance capture throughout the process. As a single creator, realizing this visually complex world would have been impossible just a few months ago. The project represents a truly symbiotic collaboration: the human creator providing the narrative structure and tone, while generative technology contributes the audiovisual capabilities necessary to bring a story of this magnitude to the screen.

It took me eight months, literary thousands of prompts and an immense amount of patience to create, refine and complete an AI-generated short film with 165 shots, and a production value estimated at $1.5 million.

When I started creating the visuals, Veo and Nano Banana didn't exist yet, and the same goes for Seedream and Seedance. Kling was at its 1.6 version, pretty decent but inadequate for the level of accuracy this project demanded. Kling 2.5 saved the day, at the end.

Character and design consistency was a nightmare, so a lot of the initial shots were regenerated and replaced during editing. All voices are original, designed in Eleven Labs. Music was generated in Producer AI, with a lot of help in prompting by Gemini.

I'll make some 'making of' videos as soon as I can.
