Inspiration

AI agents need tools they can call, but most developer APIs force signups, API keys, and tracking. I built skuuy-mcp so any MCP-compatible agent — including Alexa+ — can call 16 useful dev tools over one endpoint, with zero onboarding friction.

What it does

One MCP server, 16 tools: IP lookup, 2FA/TOTP generator, temp email, proxy list, DNS resolver, speed test, port checker, URL reader, pastebin, file drop, EVM RPC relay, and more. All tools are free with rate limiting; the server runs at mcp.skuuy.com/mcp. Published on npm as skuuy-mcp (v1.2.1) and listed in the Official MCP Registry, Smithery, Glama, and mcpservers.org.

How we built it

TypeScript on Cloudflare Workers, using @modelcontextprotocol/sdk 1.32.1, protocol version 2025-11-25 over Streamable HTTP. Stateless tools backed by KV for rate limiting, verified with a 16/16 exploit and functional stress test.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest surprise was the license file — the code was production-ready but the repo technically failed the "open-source (MIT) license" check until I replaced the LICENSE text during this window. Also: making a stateless edge server behave correctly under parallel tool calls (KV rate limiting, idempotent operations).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Fixed the repository LICENSE to a standard MIT license during the hackathon window (previously detected as NOASSERTION), verified via GitHub API as spdx_id MIT, repo public with MIT badge.
  • 16/16 PASS on exploit + functional stress testing of the live server.
  • Serving real production traffic (16,356 requests in 24h — automated agent sessions from cloud and residential IPs).
  • Published on npm (skuuy-mcp v1.2.1) and listed in the Official MCP Registry, Smithery, Glama (Healthy), and mcpservers.org.

What we learned

  • License hygiene matters as much as code: the repo was production-ready but failed the open-source check until the LICENSE text was fixed to MIT during this window.
  • Stateless edge design forces discipline — KV-backed rate limiting and idempotent operations are non-negotiable under parallel tool calls.

What's next for Skuuy MCP Server

MCP tool #17 (scheduled webhooks), and expanding the x402 pay-per-request rails already live on sibling services.
