Inspiration
Ever had a date or big job interview and not known what to wear? Introducing Drip or Skip!
What it does
Drip or Skip takes a photo using your webcam, and analyzes the colors in your clothes. Then, based on how they complement each other, it spits out scores indicating whether it's drip (good outfit), mid (average outfit), or skip (you should never touch your wardrobe ever again).
How we built it
We spent the weekend brushing up on our machine learning knowledge and implemented a k-means clustering algorithm using scikit-learn. In addition, we also utilized Flask to create a live webapp.
Challenges we ran into
Our color analysis was inaccurate, and we spent much of our time tuning it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our AI color classification algorithm, which uses k-means clustering to group similar colors.
What we learned
We learned a lot about clustering algorithms for color classification.
What's next for Drip or Skip
We will be further fine-tuning our AI to make sure that it predicts more accurately in the future, so that it works in all types of lighting.
