Building Skinswap, our Web3 app for exchanging and trading in-game skins, has been an exhilarating journey filled with both challenges and triumphs. As beginners, we faced significant hurdles in coding and deploying smart contracts, creating a seamless website, and integrating Chainlink data feeds and streams. Our attempts to incorporate Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) proved particularly difficult, resulting in persistent errors beyond our understanding. Despite these obstacles, we persevered, often working sleepless nights to overcome technical issues. Each small success, from deploying a functional smart contract to resolving a bug, was a cause for celebration and motivated us to keep pushing forward. To demonstrate our platform's potential, we built a custom Unity game simulation as proof of work and prepared a comprehensive pitch deck and video demo. The future holds great promise for Skinswap. We aim to incorporate AI/ML algorithms to help customise the buy page for the buyer. We aim to foster a culture of connectedness, so we will add up a chat feature, fully deployable through blockchain itself. The draft was ready for a chat application but we couldn't integrate it in time. We also plan to include Chainlink's CCIP for cross chain compatibility. We also aim to revamp and add more games to out platform, making this the one-stop destination for all gamers. Throughout this process, our team forged strong bonds and expanded our network by connecting with experts and enthusiasts worldwide. The thrill of creating something innovative and the joy of overcoming obstacles made the journey immensely rewarding. Despite the challenges, we had a lot of fun and gained invaluable experience. Building Skinswap has been a testament to our team's resilience, creativity, and dedication. We are excited about the future of our platform and its potential to revolutionize the in-game item trading landscape.
