Our project for Bitcamp 2026 is a proof-of-concept skin lesion classification website that makes it easier for people to monitor their skin and report any concerns about skin lesions to their physicians. This website is a pre-clinical tool designed to encourage professional consultation, not to replace a formal diagnosis. We chose to pursue this due to the need for a simple and intuitive skin screening tool that can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. Because of delays and poor access arising from the traditional healthcare system, patients often delay seeking professional care, which can lead to late diagnosis and poor prognosis.
Skin Health Classifier - ML approach
Patients often delay seeking professional care, so we created a tool that utilizes machine learning to classify skin lesions, so the user can decide if seeing a doctor is worth their time and money.
