Inspiration
Tons of people worldwide suffer from various types of skin diseases and diagnosis and treatment are often very expensive and take a long time. Which is why I created a cheap and quick way of treating skin psoriasis
What it does
It detects what skin disease you have where it's located and turns the UV light to the correct location as a non-invasive treatment method
How we built it
We used a raspberry pi 4 as the brains of the operation and attached a camera module to it, then we connected the motor and the raspberry pi using a breadboard along with a separate battery to power the motor.
Challenges we ran into
Setting up and moving the model on to the raspberry pi took a very long time and also connecting the motor to the pi and getting it to respond to the different positions was hard.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Really happy that I was able to create this in 48 hours and also get the raspberry pi to work.
What we learned
I learned a lot about different circuits and ML algorithms to implement in this project
What's next for Skin Disease Diagnosis
I'd like to implement the Robot Arm I made in cad in real life
