AI agents are increasingly powered by reusable skills, but installing a skill can silently introduce conflicting instructions or change desired behavior. Skim is a Git-native skill manager that makes those changes reviewable and reversible.
Skim imports skills pinned to exact Git commits, detects overlapping scopes, uses AI to identify semantic conflicts and lets users choose how to resolve them before anything is installed.
I learned about designing AI workflows: structural validation happens before model calls, AI output is normalized and verified against real source files. The hardest parts were keeping previews and installs atomic, ensuring AI citations are trustworthy and learn to package the application along with its dashboard as an installable CLI and implementing a conflict-safe Undo feature.
