People want to learn new things, but not everyone can pay for classes, and not every expert wants to teach for money. We learnt that everyone has something useful to share and wants to learn something new. We made SkillSwap, a place where people can trade skills instead of cash.

People who use SkillSwap can:

Show off the skills they can teach

Ask for the skills they want to learn

Find partners who are a good match right away

Talk, work together, and share what you know.

Get points for mentoring and teaching

Make a real network for exchanging skills

It's like a talent market where you teach what you know and learn what you don't.

How we constructed it

SkillSwap was developed using:

Base44 for creating screens and UI elements

JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for a completely dynamic and responsive front end

Mobile-first design makes sure it functions on PCs, tablets, and phones.

Buttons, cards, and transitions all have fluid animations

Adaptive vertical layout for all screen sizes

Workflows aided by AI to expedite development and graphics

Additionally, 3:2 ratio Base44-generated media and Devpost screenshots were used to optimise every interface.
