for streamlining resume management with AI-powered employability screening.SkillSummarize is inspired by the challenge on Sustainable employability in the face of AI . by the lack of data driven environment in Employment sustainability and upgrading of employee skills. Cognitive flexibility is Top 10 skill in age of AI according to World Economic forum. Its funny, that lot of waste of potential in employees going on.

What it does

Company is using an Applicant Tracking system to manage job applications, and they want to incorporate electronic signatures for offer letters, consent forms and other hiring-related documents.
Traditional ATS Process:

  1. After reviewing resumes and conducting interviews, the HR team decides to extend a job offer or consent form to a candidate.
  2. HR generates an offer letter or consent form as a PDF document and sends it to the candidate via email.
  3. The candidate receives the offer letter or consent form, prints it, signs it manually, and then scans or faxes it back to HR.
  4. HR receives the signed offer letter, reviews it, and may need to make further revisions or clarifications.
  5. The final offer letter is sent back to the candidate for their records.

ATS Process with Electronic Signatures:

  1. After reviewing resumes with Expert.AI and deciding to extend a job offer or consent form, HR generates an offer letter directly with the ATS.
  2. The offer letter or consent form is sent to the candidate electronically through Dropbox Sign.
  3. The candidate receives the offer letter or consent form with Dropbox Sign and the ATS, reviews it, and electronically signs it with a few clicks.
  4. Once signed, the offer letter or consent form is automatically saved and archived within Dropbox and the ATS .
  5. HR receives a notification of the signed offer letter or consent form and can review it electronically within Dropbox and the ATS.
  6. If any revisions are needed, HR can make them within the ATS, and the candidate is notified to review and sign the updated version with Dropbox Sign.
  7. Once the offer letter is finalized, HR can initiate background checks and other onboarding processes directly within the ATS.

Summarize skills in resume with AI summarization feature. Resume summarization is done with natural language processing. e-signature integration through Dropbox agreement on Cognitive assessment testing with e-signature integration through Dropbox Sign to applicant. Cognitive flexibility is Top 10 skill in age of AI according to World Economic forum . The public AI used is Expert.ai where User clicks submit to Login on Login page to authorize. The consent to agreement is signed with Dropbox Sign.

How we built it

Built Login page user for user to authenticate. Understand Dropbox Sign Api to request signature,and add signature to document. Then Set up a Expert.ai account .Built resume panel with React to fetch resume , then extracting the key phrases and skills using expert ai api. The Nodejs Dropbox Sign Api request used Netlify serverless.

Challenges we ran into

Recruiters and HR professionals often face the daunting task of manually reviewing and summarizing numerous resumes. This process is time-consuming, error-prone, and can lead to missed opportunities A challenging part of this project was extracting content from text files. Another challenge of this project was sending agreement to recipient for e-signature on Dropbox sign using DropBox Nodejs SDK.
