Inspiration

Our inspiration was to make it easier for individuals to break into the tech industry and help match candidates to the companies they are most likely to fit with.

What it does

Skills Connect is a web application that helps you find job matches based on your resume. As a candidate, you can upload your resume, and our app will scan your resume and compare it to the job descriptions from different job postings based on your relevant skills. You can then view the job postings where you have the greatest match.

How we built it

We built this application using React.js, Django, SQL, and PostgreSQL

Challenges we ran into

One of the challenges we faced was finding the best idea that could truly benefit humanity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have successfully connected the backend with the frontend, creating a seamless user experience with the use of a RESTful API.

What we learned

Throughout this project, we learned valuable lessons that have enhanced our skills and understanding of web development, RESTful APIs, React.js, Django, Python, and databases.
