About the Project

Our project began with a simple observation inside our college. Almost every student wanted to learn something—coding, design, AI, editing—but most of them were confused about where to start. Some jumped from one tutorial to another, while others lost consistency after a few days. We saw many talented students struggling, not because they lacked interest, but because they lacked direction. That’s where the idea for our project was born.

We wanted to build something that gives students clarity, something that tells them exactly what to learn, in what order, and how to stay motivated throughout the journey. That inspiration led us to create SkillBridge—a platform designed to bridge the gap between what students learn in college and what the industry actually expects.

To bring this idea to life, we started by understanding the real problems faced by students. We mapped out the entire learning journey and turned it into a simple flow:

Assessment → Roadmap → Dashboard → Projects Assessment→Roadmap→Dashboard→Projects

This became the backbone of our prototype.

Once the flow was ready, we used Base44 to design the first version of our app. We created clean screens, connected them into a smooth user journey, and built the core experience: a skill assessment, a personalized roadmap, a daily learning dashboard, and a project-tracking space. Even though the timeline was short, Base44 helped us quickly build a functional and visually clear prototype.

During this process, we learned how to convert a large idea into a practical MVP. We understood the importance of simple UX, consistent navigation, and breaking features into manageable parts. We also got hands-on experience with fast prototyping and learned how to present a solution visually within limited time.

Of course, we faced challenges. One of the biggest was deciding which features to include first because the idea has huge potential. Designing UI screens quickly and making them feel personalized was also challenging. Learning Base44’s tools and arranging everything into a clean flow within the hackathon timeline pushed us to work smarter and faster.

In the end, SkillBridge represents our vision of helping students learn better, stay consistent, and become more industry-ready. This prototype is only the beginning, but it clearly shows how structured guidance can transform a student’s entire learning journey.
