Inspiration

Our project was inspired by the belief that we could simplify and enhance the learning experience, particularly in the context of acquiring new skills. The initial idea was straightforward: to create a tool that could provide structured learning plans. This inspiration stemmed from our shared passion for education and technology. We aimed to leverage the capabilities of artificial intelligence to make the learning journey more accessible and enjoyable.

What it does

Our project, known as "Skillmap," is a versatile platform designed to help users acquire new skills in a structured and efficient manner. Skillmap generates personalized learning plans, organizes resources, and outlines tasks for users based on their chosen skill and timeframe. It streamlines the learning process and ensures that users have a clear roadmap to follow in their educational journey. Skillmap serves as a one-stop solution for skill acquisition, making it easier for users to set and achieve their learning goals.

How we built it

We began the project by developing an initial AI plugin to lay the foundation for the concept. As our vision expanded, we transitioned into building a complete website. The project was primarily built using a combination of programming languages, web development frameworks, and AI technologies. We integrated various components, including a user-friendly interface, an AI recommendation system, and a database for storing and managing user data and learning resources. The architecture was designed to provide a seamless and interactive experience for users.

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the project, we encountered numerous challenges. As the scope expanded, so did the complexity of the tasks at hand. Integrating the AI component and ensuring it generated accurate and relevant learning plans was a significant challenge. Coordinating the development efforts among team members, especially when undertaking a substantial website project, required effective communication and project management.
