What it does

SkillHarbor will serve as a comprehensive online platform that connects skilled volunteers with non-profit organizations and community projects. It will utilize an advanced matchmaking algorithm to align volunteers' expertise with specific project needs. The platform will foster collaboration, track project impact, empower volunteers with resources, and acknowledge their contributions through a reward system.

How we built it

Phase 1: Research and Design In the initial phase, market research will be conducted to understand user needs. Detailed user personas for volunteers and organizations will be developed. The user interface and experience of the platform will be designed.

Phase 2: Development Core features of SkillHarbor, including the skills matching algorithm, project listings, community forum, and progress tracking, will be built. The learning resources section and recognition and rewards system will be implemented.

Phase 3: Testing and Refinement Beta testing with a select group of volunteers and organizations will be conducted to gather feedback. The platform will be refined based on user input.

Phase 4: Launch and Outreach SkillHarbor will be officially launched to the public. A marketing and outreach strategy will be implemented to attract volunteers and organizations.

Phase 5: Continuous Improvement Ongoing monitoring of platform usage and collection of user feedback will inform continuous improvement. Updates and new features will be implemented based on user needs and technological advancements.
