Inspiration

Education shouldn't be locked behind credentials that are hard to verify or share. I built SkillForge to make skill achievement transparent, immutable, and accessible for learners around the world.

What it does

SkillForge allows users to mint verified learning milestones onto the Hedera network. These credentials are stored on IPFS and can be shared instantly, making upskilling truly borderless.

How I built it

SkillForge is built using React for frontend, Hedera SDK + Smart Contracts for credential minting, IPFS for decentralized storage, and TailwindCSS for sleek UI. Render handles backend deployment.

As the solo builder behind SkillForge, I led the full development lifecycle — from ideation to deployment. I designed the user flow for minting learning milestones, implemented credential storage via IPFS, and integrated Hedera smart contracts for verifiable achievements.

On the frontend, I built a sleek dashboard using React + TailwindCSS, and deployed via Render. For smart contract interactions, I worked with Hedera SDK to ensure credentials were minted securely and traceably. This was my first time integrating Hedera with dynamic UI states, and I learned a lot about asynchronous minting and HashScan tracking in real time.

Beyond code, I also shaped the product vision: making skill achievement borderless, shareable, and trusted. It’s a solo submission, but I leaned on open-source communities and dev docs to bring SkillForge to life.
