Inspiration

Being financially independent is a necessity for every individual to have a secure life. However, all around the world we could see women and the non- binary struggling to achieve this. When we looked into this matter,we found that, there is a lack in the amount of support they receive. So we felt that the best way to empower them is by providing support, enhancing their skill set and offering them opportunities to earn.

What it does

Skillcept is a technical platform that offers various courses and job opportunities to individuals and qualified employees to recruiters.

How we built it

Collective brainstorming.
Sketched UI.
Graphical prototype development using Adobe XD.
Divided and completed the work among ourselves.
Combined,Debugged and Furnished the work.
Languages used : HTML, CSS, Java Script

Challenges we ran into

Half of our team consists of first time hackers which caused a little bit coping up issues. Once different parts of the project was done by each group member, it was a very difficult challenge to combine it into a single module. After integrating the parts, debugging the entire project was tedious task. Since we had to begin right from finding an appropriate problem and then its solution , we couldn't get sufficient time to implement the back end of our project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to build an effective solution for our chosen problem with a great sense of satisfaction.
We could build an aesthetically pleasing website and complete it within time bounds.
Even while working from different places, we could exhibit great dedication and teamwork.

What we learned

Many features of HTML, CSS and Javascript were new to us and making a website by linking these features was really a good experience. Adobe XD was new to us and we learned how to design UI/UX using XD effectively. Last but not the least ,organizing and integrating parts of our work and developing it as a team although we are physically apart

What's next for Skillcept

Mentor ship programmes specifically for our women and binary individuals to give an extra incentive to help them come forward. Special job trainings for these less privileged before hiring process by collaborating with the companies. Reduced fee structure to them by sponsoring programmes
