Inspiration

Millions of students, job seekers, mentors, and experienced professionals struggle to connect with the right people for learning and career guidance. At the same time, many skilled mentors find it difficult to reach learners who genuinely need their expertise. We wanted to create a platform that bridges this gap through technology and AI.

What it does

SkillBridge is an AI-powered mentorship and career development platform that connects learners with verified mentors. Users can discover mentors, book one-on-one sessions, chat, make secure payments, and receive AI-powered career guidance. The platform also provides internship opportunities, job listings, resume analysis, and personalized recommendations.

  • Deploying the backend on Railway and frontend on Netlify.
  • Handling mentor booking, API integration, and debugging deployment issues.

What we learned

We improved our knowledge of Flutter, REST APIs, MongoDB, backend development, cloud deployment, authentication, and integrating AI services into real-world applications.

  • Real-time chat using WebSockets.
  • AI-powered mentor matching.
  • Certificate generation after completed mentorship sessions.
