Inspiration

We were inspired by the education–employment mismatch among Indonesian youth. Many students and fresh graduates struggle to identify the skills required by their desired careers and how to develop those skills effectively.

We believe that career preparation should be more structured, accessible, and personalized.

What it does

SkillBridge is an AI-powered career readiness platform that helps students and fresh graduates prepare for their desired careers.

Key features include:

Career Goal Selection: Choose a desired career path.
Skill Assessment: Evaluate current skill levels.
AI Skill Gap Analysis: Identify skills that need improvement.
Personalized Learning Roadmap: Generate a structured learning plan using AI.
Learning Resources: Discover relevant learning materials.
Learning Progress: Track completed learning activities.
Portfolio Management: Collect evidence of acquired skills.
Job Application Tracking: Monitor job application progress.

How we built it

SkillBridge uses Flutter for the frontend and Laravel for the backend.

Flutter provides the mobile application interface, while Laravel handles authentication, business logic, database management, and AI integration.

The AI analyzes users' career goals, assessment results, and available learning resources to generate personalized learning recommendations.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was connecting career requirements, skill assessments, and AI-generated learning recommendations into one integrated workflow.

Another challenge was ensuring that AI-generated roadmaps are relevant, structured, and based on reliable learning resources rather than generic recommendations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to design an integrated platform that connects career goals, skill gap analysis, personalized learning roadmaps, and career preparation in one application.

We also developed an architecture that combines Flutter, Laravel, a relational database, and AI integration.

What we learned

We learned how AI can support personalized learning and career development.

We also learned the importance of structured data, reliable learning resources, frontend-backend integration, and validating AI-generated recommendations.
