Inspiration

As a student and tech enthusiast, I realized how overwhelming it can be to navigate the job market, upskill efficiently, or find personalized career guidance. I wanted to create a tool that makes career growth simple, intelligent, and accessible — and that's how SkillBloom AI was born.

What it does

SkillBloom AI is an AI-powered career guidance suite with 6 powerful modules:

  1. Skill Enhancer – Turn your interests into career suggestions and get free learning resources. 2.AI Job Board – Upload your resume and get relevant job roles with salary, location, and fit.
  2. Career Gap Filler AI – Fill in your skill or experience gaps with customized suggestions.
  3. Resume Analyzer + ATS Score Checker – Get feedback and ATS score for your uploaded resume.
  4. Your Mentor Dashboard – Talk to an AI mentor named Alex Rivera who gives personalized advice.
  5. Career Suggestion - It gives career suggestion by using your skill,experience.

What I learned

  • How to build modular agents with ADK
  • Prompt engineering to reduce hallucinations and improve relevance
  • Dynamic UI with Streamlit and real-time AI interaction
  • Deploying securely and managing .env secrets in production

Challenges

  • Ensuring free API usage without exposing keys or hitting rate limits
  • Keeping context between AI questions and feedback per module
  • Balancing realism and motivation in job suggestions and feedback
