The app Skill Swap is designed to facilitate peer-to-peer learning among students from different universities and colleges. Here are the key features and concepts:
Main Idea: Peer-to-peer Learning: Students share knowledge and experiences through audio/video interactions.
App Functionality:
Registration: Free registration with a valid college ID for security. App Sections: Live Section: Users enter topics they need help with, preferred languages, and urgency. Notifications are sent to users who can then request to join a call. If no requests are received within 30 minutes for urgent calls, a specialized team assists. Recorded Section: All calls are recorded for security. Recorded calls can be uploaded for public viewing with consent from both parties. Users can watch recorded videos while waiting for live call requests. Efficiency: Users can end calls if the peer is not helpful and search for other peers. Calls are free, and users can make unlimited calls. Calls are limited to 45 minutes to ensure educational use, with a 24-hour cooldown period for reconnecting with the same user. Safety: Users can report harassment, leading to a permanent ban if the user is reported more than 50 times. A history of calls is required to report harassment. Rewards: Users earn reward points for helping others, which can be redeemed for various gifts and offers. Highlights: Free quality knowledge sharing. Multilingual support. 24/7 availability.
