Inspiration
We wanted to make a difference in our community by attempting to make a practical but also fun website.
What it does
Our program matches non-profit organizations with aspiring volunteers to help promote community service events.
How we built it
We built it using React, javascript, HTML, and CSS as the website front-end and firebase and python as our real-time backend. We also added the google maps API as our map system.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into time challenges, as we did not have enough time to fully implement a front-end. Also, most of us were learning REACT while making this project, so this made it harder to quickly create our website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a website with multiple links and interesting visuals, and integrating the Google Maps API.
What we learned
We learned how to code with REACT and implement API to make a reasonable website.
